- What does being on the whitelist actually mean?
After the token is released, whitelisted wallets will be given a specific period of time (determined by the team) to purchase it before trading is made available to the general public. The use of a whitelist launch technique is widely favored when launching a token on PROOF, as it effectively thwarts automated bots from purchasing a large chunk of the supply, thereby ensuring that genuine supporters are rewarded for their early backing instead of trading bots.
- If I complete all the challenges above, am I guaranteed to be whitelisted?
The team responsible for the project has the ability to remove a wallet address from the whitelist, as deemed necessary. Once registrations are closed, there’s a way for you to connect your wallet to see if you made the cut or not.
- Is it safe to whitelist for a PROOF launch?
Absolutely! By connecting your wallet, you’re simply confirming that you own the wallet address. PROOF doesn’t have any authorization to conduct transactions or withdraw anything from your wallet.
- What’s the reason for having to "Sign" a message in addition to connecting my wallet?
The process of signing a message is the only foolproof way for us to verify that you are the rightful owner of the wallet you are linking. It’s a secure, gas-less transaction that does not grant PROOF any authorization to conduct any transactions on your wallet.
- If I disconnect my wallet or Twitter after registering, will I still be whitelisted?
Yes. As part of the registration process, PROOF stores your wallet and social information. However, even if you choose to disconnect everything afterward, your registration remains valid.
